After being separated for their entire lives, two childhood friends reunite, now widows and elderly, in the village where they grew up. As they try to resolve past misunderstandings, they face their families' decision to send them to a nursing home. Aware that their lives are nearing the end, the two friends strive to fulfill their old promise to stay together forever.
