On the day Portugal faces Angola in the 2006 World Cup, a vibrant gathering takes place in Lisbon, bringing together Mozambicans, Angolans, Guineans, São Toméans, Cape Verdeans, and Portuguese for a feast of beer, fried fish, and anticipation. The most nervous are JJ and Mina, who seize the occasion to announce to her family that, although they are not even engaged, they are expecting a child.
