When her husband dies, Dora Rosário, a woman trapped in the shadowy years of the Estado Novo, begins living solely for her daughter Lisa and the memory of her late husband, which accompanies her daily. However, upon discovering that her husband was not who she thought he was, Dora starts to question her entire past and embarks on a search for a new life. But she will soon learn that mourning is not as straightforward as she would like to believe.
