Leandro and his daughter Mariana live off the gifts of the sea. When Mariana is assaulted, Leandro kills the perpetrator. Once a man of honest living, he now becomes a fugitive. Wandering through the countryside, he is taken in by a band of travelling performers who, despite being thieves, find themselves on the right side of history.
