Paloma, from Pernambuco, is content with the simplicity of her life alongside Jenifer, her daughter, and Zé, her boyfriend. However, to feel truly happy, she still has one big dream to fulfil: to get married in church and have her love blessed by God. 

To make this happen, Paloma has been saving money for the dress and the grand wedding she envisioned as a child. But when the time comes to set a date for the religious ceremony, she encounters the Church’s prejudice towards her transgender identity. 

As if that wasn’t enough, the conservative attitude of the priest begins to change the way everyone in the village sees her. Yet, Paloma’s faith is immense, and nothing will make her give up on her goals.
